My creative nonfiction “The Blue Bones” is published in The Pine Cone Review, Brown Issue. There are so many beautiful writings in this issue by worldwide authors and editing done by the editors team is really magnificent.

The Blue Bones is written around the background of British raj when indigo plantation ( Neel ki Kheti ) was prominent in Champaran, India. I heard about it through my old family members, they had seen it live through their eyes.

The horror of stamping stallions rided by britishers was in acrid air those days. It all led to the Satyagraha movement, first nonviolence movement of Gandhi.

Thanks to the editors Susmita Paul, Khusi Pattanayak and Candice Louisa Daquin
